I just saw a couple of things that really made me smile....and light bulb moment! So here is the first edition of "Feelin' Good Friday" where I'm sharing three things at the end of each week that made me smile and hope it touches you a little bit too.
The first thing was.......did you see the Ellen show yesterday? If you did, you were probably as blown away as I was to hear the story & see those little boys, Aldrich & James, sing "Dance with my Father". If you missed it, here's their story. They live in the Philippines in a house where one bed is shared by 4 people.....they put a video on YouTube of them singing this song and it pretty much went viral. The touching part is that they sang this song prior to the little guy's Dad being diagnosed with Lymphoma. He died in June. (I know you're thinking "so where does the whole 'make me smile' thing come in?!) Listen to this boy's voice! If you don't get goosebumps from the emotion. It makes you wonder why that song, not even knowing that his father would soon be gone...it really makes you feel like it was divinely chosen for them to sing. it's really so touching and I hope they get a record deal and they're able to help their families....and become big stars...because frankly, I'm sick of the twerking and Beirberizing!
Okay, I have to dab my eyes again.....love these two.
Next up is the man who wakes up from surgery and has no idea who this "most beautiful woman I've ever seen" is next to him!! It reminds me of the time I had my gallbladder out and as I was going under, I apparently professed my undying love for my Doctor. When I woke up, I decided it was a good idea to cry because I wanted a Zagnut bar...(which I have NO idea why I would request that - it's my least favorite candy bar ever!).....enjoy! (and sorry you have to wait the 15 seconds for the video to start if you skip the ad - I hate that too, but it's worth it!)
Last, but not least --- I will be the first to admit that I don't like choreographed wedding dances, but I saw this Father/Daughter dance and it did give me a kick! (skip to like the 1:35min mark to get to the 'good stuff'!)
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend - get some fun in and make sure you take a little time out for YOU!!
